After earning her BSN at SUNY Stony Brook, Becky began a twenty-six year oncology nursing career at Boston Medical Center. While at Boston Medical Center, Becky worked in numerous roles, including as a staff nurse, a nurse manager, and as a coordinator of clinical trials. The experience working with oncology patients and their families has had a lasting effect on her, and she hopes to volunteer with the American Cancer Society following her retirement. Following her long career at Boston Medical Center, Becky transitioned to school nursing in 2008, where she has held several roles within the Wilmington Public Schools and surrounding districts. Prior to assuming the role of Interim Coordinator for Nursing Services in August 2021, Becky served in the role of School Nurse Care Coordinator, where she assisted the nursing, teaching and clinical staff in the management of students with complex medical and mental health issues. Often these students may be returning to school after an extended period of absence. Becky served on the district-wide Vaping Diversion Committee and is a member of the Massachusetts School Nurse Organization.
